Heritage Day was celebrated in #theheartofcenturion on the 24th of September 2022 with a cultural flash mob performance and a tourism display in association with Tshwane Tourism Association and City of Tshwane Tourism.
Centurion Mall showcased the Rainbow Nation’s diverse cultures through performance arts by incorporating South Africa’s official languages in the ensemble, via song, dance and inspired prints such as Afrikaans, English, Ndebele, Sepedi, Sign Language, Sotho, Tshwane, Xhosa and Zulu.
Events by Hanlery together with Stephan Nel lured the crowd with their talented singers and dancers with proudly South African inspired music to celebrate local is lekker on Heritage Day. The Transoranje School for the Deaf joined the performed to represent one of the official languages, the deaf community and signed the lyrics to the songs.
The crowd was overwhelmed by the performance that it brought tears of joy. The performance reminded us that we are one nation, and through dance and song, it unites us as one.
Centurion Mall also hosted the City of Tshwane Tourism, Tshwane Tourism Association and their members: Ritsako Game Lodge, Travelex and Mangwanani African Spa; to showcase the City’s tourist offerings.
